Digg On Your Desktop
I’ve previously posted a video of the new search interface I’ve been experimenting with. In order to get some feedback on how it works I’ve put together a small application that uses the Digg API to display the popular news stories on your desktop background.

Don’t Use Google, Praise Apple or Deify Digg
Some of you seem to be under the misconception that you’re right. Of course you’re not.
I’m right, you’re all wrong and I’m going to whinge about it because this is web 2.0 and I can.

Activists or Mob? The First Digg Riots
This morning I came into work, I ran some SEO checks on a few sites and started up FireFox. As usual I browsed speculatively towards Digg for my hit of the overnight news that just wouldn’t be covered in the Metro newspaper I’d browsed through on the bus.
At first I couldn’t work out exactly what had happened. The following code was written everywhere :

First Release of Anti Usersubmitter.com Application
I’m quite annoyed to think that usersubmitter.com can so easily manipulate Digg. So I decided to put together a little application that finds any stories being manipulated, lets you know with one click and then if you double click it the story will open in your browser so you can bury it sharpish.
Have fun ![]()
I anticipate usersubmitter may try to counter this and I plan on releasing faster than they can update so check back often if your version stops working. Equally if you have any problems running then let me know.
.NET 2 framework is required to run this program, sorry to Linux fans I may put together a version using Mono if there’s enough demand but i hope to bury them more quickly than that ![]()
